Abstract:
In the light of modern trends in education development, the use of digital educational resources has become an integral part of the learning process. Internet resources provide new opportunities for learning, allowing students to access a vast amount of information and expand their horizons. It is important to consider that "primary school students have visual-spatial thinking, so teachers need to structure their education in a way that includes more good, quality, illustrative material. It is necessary to engage not only vision but also hearing, emotions, and children's imagination, and this is where these resources are attractive due to their brightness. Thus, it can be said that the use of digital educational resources has a comprehensive impact on primary school students, motivates them to engage in learning activities, expands children's horizons, improves the quality of education, and facilitates feedback between teachers and students. The relevance of the topic is justified by the requirements of the modern higher education system, which is aimed at producing specialists with specific competencies, capable of creatively and critically evaluating information, and using the results of mental activity in practice. Therefore, teachers should use methods and teaching techniques that allow students to reflect, analyze information, make logical conclusions, and propose reasoned solutions to problems.

The methods of research include theoretical analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature on the research problem, synthesis of scientific sources, generalization, observation.

The material for research consists of examining various approaches to the use of digital educational resources in scientific and methodological studies, identifying characteristics reflecting typical features of using digital educational resources, as well as the results of interviews with teachers and students who successfully apply digital educational resources in the process of developing functional literacy in primary school students.

The following tasks were solved during the writing of the article:
1. Definitions of the terms "digital educational resources" and "functional literacy" were considered.
2. The features of using digital educational resources for developing functional literacy in younger school students were identified.
3. The conditions for the application of digital educational resources in the education of younger school students were determined.
4. Signs of the formation of functional literacy in younger school students and the stages of its development were identified.

Visualization of information, interactive demonstrations, quality control of learning, and independent work of students are the main directions for using digital educational resources. Educational materials presented in digital form helps to form functional literacy at various stages of a lesson in elementary school easier. Thus, at the stage of knowledge activation one can use tests, electronic constructors; at the stage of explaining new material textbooks, encyclopedias, reference books, multimedia presentations, educational videos will be of great help. At the stage of consolidating and improving knowledge, skills, and abilities, the teacher can use electronic simulators, educational environments, multimedia presentations.
