Abstract:
Entrepreneurship has been a crucial element for economic growth and development. Several initiatives have been developed to spread and promote entrepreneurship among the university students and graduates based on theory of planned behaviour. This study aim to examine the influence of the entrepreneurship knowledge and skills in ENT600 (Technology Entrepreneurship) based on the existing constructs of theory of planned behaviour (i.e., personal attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavioural control) towards students’ entrepreneurial intention. A survey method was used in gathering data using a developed questionnaire which was administered to 342 randomly selected final year students registered under the Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences at the largest local university in Malaysia. Data were analysed based on a conceptual framework and guided objectives using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via Smart PLS. The results show that education, personal attitude and perceived behavioural control have significant positive influence towards entrepreneurial intention of the final year students based on the theory of planned behaviour. Personal attitude was the most influential attribute in predicting entrepreneurial intention of the students.
