Abstract:
Multimedia is part of our everyday life, children grow up using it from their early years. Thus multimedia should be naturally integrated in education too, but is not widely used or not efficiently used by teachers because lack of technology or lack of teachers’ knowledge on methodology and computer use. Teachers should know how to select the most appropriate multimedia for different moments of the lesson and different purposes; how to create simple multimedia products. The aim of this paper is to present a research on how in-service teachers integrate their own-made multimedia product in the teaching/learning process. Teachers were asked to make an electronic lesson and to write the plan of that lesson, in which they will use that multimedia product. The electronic lessons and the lesson plans were analyzed in order to find out if teachers integrate multimedia in an adequate and efficient way in their teaching practice. The results highlight the necessity of training teachers for methodology of using multimedia as some of the teachers didn’t integrate their product in the right moment of the lesson or used it during the whole lesson. Keywords:
