Abstract:
The study aimed at identifying the attitudes of male and female teachers towards utilizing scientific research in the educational field, as the study used the mixed approach (consecutive explanatory). The sample was (741) teachers in all stages (in the quantitive part), while it consisted of (20) teachers (in the qualitative part). The study used two tools: the first is a questionnaire that consisted of (26) items on three domains according to fifth Likert scale. The second was an interview to explain the results of the quantitative part according to the sample’s point of view. The results were as follows: The average of the sample's attitudes towards benefiting from scientific research (scientific papers, conferences and forums) was (3.68 out of 5) and with agree level. The average of the sample's attitudes towards developing scientific research skills among students was (4.18 out of 5) and with agree level. The average of the sample’s attitudes towards cooperation between researchers, academics and teachers was(3.89), with agreement.

The study recommended the following: the importance of spreading the culture of scientific research among male and female teachers, supporting schools with specific programs to develop scientific research skills, developing students' scientific research skills so that they are included in their school courses, creating official channels for exchanging experiences between researchers, academics and teachers, and making competitions for action researches in cooperation with research centers in neighboring universities.

In light of the study results, a set of proposed future studies were presented: conducting a scientific study on the extent of benefiting from scientific research and its results to develop the educational field. conducting a scientific study on the impact of a training program on developing the basic skills of scientific research among teachers.
