Abstract:
In the last 20 years or so Bulgarian universities are periodically accredited, which aims to evaluate the quality of education and the activities in universities in the educational streams where students are taught. Students also take part in this evaluation process as a corrective to the administrative management and the teaching activity. The paper reveals the opinions and evaluations on the quality of library education from the Bulgarian students’ perspective. The research was done in the period 2017-2018 among BA and MA Library Sciences students at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT). There are several aspects to the study: motivation for a choice of specialty, the image of the university unit of instruction, the relation student-tutor and access to information about academic life.

Doing similar research is important for the work of the Bulgarian universities as they provide the opportunity to periodically take into account the student’s evaluation and consider their standpoint when optimizing the work, including updating the syllabi and the development of the learning process in Bulgarian Universities.
