Abstract:
In education, which is considered today as the most important values of the modern world culture, democratic values are claimed and developed, what is shown in an individualization of training and creation of its various forms. The main idea of education consists in creation of such system, which will provide each person by the possibility of receiving and replenishment of knowledge, development, improvement and self-realization throughout all his (her) life. Therefore, development of the person in a system of continuous education assumes, first of all, mobility, which increases quality of training programs and scientific researches, and is important for the development of the personality, and basically provides access to professional activity through professional competence.
In a context of the key documents concerning both science, and education in the Republic of Kazakhstan [1, 2] extremely important is an idea of scientific-research universities (SRU) as one of the ways of improvement of quality of the higher education and scientific research, seen in close integration of science and education.
One of the Universities, actively moving on the way of transformation into SRU, is one of the largest and oldest Higher Education Institutions of our country – al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU), in which the most important signs of SRU could already be detected as: ability to both generate knowledge, and to provide an effective transfer of innovative technologies into economy; carrying out basic and applied researches; active mobility on international and interdisciplinary level; existence of highly effective system of training of master and doctoral candidates and well-trained specialists, which define demand of society for professionals in various areas of science, production of goods and services, and, undoubtedly, high professionalism of its faculty. KazNU is on its way towards the highest standards of the leading universities of the world.
