Abstract:
The presented text introduces the results of the project ‘Selected Aspects of School Approaches to Primary Prevention and Well-being’ (PRCH-IP_0035/2022, ID: MSMT-9369/2022-2), aimed at finding ways to solve specific problems related to risky behaviour among primary school pupils. The main objective of the project is to monitor and evaluate the cooperation of primary schools with external providers of programs for the primary prevention of risky behaviour. The partial objectives of the research survey were the verification of the forms of cooperation of the school counselling office team with an emphasis on the coordination of mutual cooperation, the level of prevention provided, the requirements of schools for the content of preventive programs and the link to types of risky behaviour, frequency, effectiveness, and evaluation of implemented programs, the link of implemented programs to school and minimal preventive programs, involvement of teachers, pupils, and parents in programs, etc.
The quantitative research method (nonstandardized self-constructed questionnaire) was used in the research survey. The content of the questionnaire was pilot tested as preliminary research with selected respondents and, after clarification, distributed electronically to primary schools in the Moravian-Silesian region. The respondents were representatives of primary school counselling offices (headmasters, prevention school methodologists, educational consultants, school special educators, school psychologists). The research data obtained were subsequently analysed and processed using statistical methods. The article provides relevant results of the research survey and points to the urgent need for support in strengthening the competences of school counselling offices with a focus on pedagogical intervention activities in the area of solving specific problems related to risky behaviour of pupils. Attention is paid to the issue of determining selection criteria and evaluating the implementation of preventive programs. At the end of the article, there is a recommendation for pedagogical practice with an emphasis on the cooperation of the school counselling office team during the process of the school’s minimal preventive program. Keywords:
