Abstract:
Innovative learning activities, based on constructivism, were applied in the courses for students of Computer science, future CS teachers, at the Faculty of Education. We observed students’ learning behaviour as well as their actions, preferences, and learning patterns in different stages of learning process, supported by the e-portfolios and different e-learning environments. We tried to establish comprehensive environment for students’ self assessment through self reflection and critical thinking. Students engaged in all these activities had an opportunity to develop competences for project and team work through collaborative learning. Active and collaborative forms of learning were used to facilitate higher order thinking skills and to develop assessment skills. To achieve this, students designed and developed their own e-portfolios and blended learning environments. Autonomous learning and critical thinking was supported by creating multimedia, audio-video content and interactive activities, explorative learning, discovery learning, reflections, self-reflections, and creation of exercises for knowledge assessment. Students work either in small groups or individually, where they are supposed to collaborate with their colleges, to gain some feedback of their work to improve their own knowledge. Keywords:
