Abstract:
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science. Although its application in education is not very well defined, in this research AI is used for teaching new skills in problem-solving. The teaching of machine learning techniques helps to solve contextualized problems and develop cognitive and metacognitive skills using didactic strategies that helps promote computational thinking.

The main objective of this article is to present a design of a b-learning course for the learning of artificial intelligence and develop the computational thinking in 9th-grade high school students.

This course is based on the Problem Based Learning methodology oriented in the collaborative learning and seeks to encourage the development of 21st-century competencies through problem-solving using the didactic tool Scratch and student´s trained models by using IBM´s machine learning for kid tool thus introducing the students to the changes that the 4th industrial revolution will generate.
