Abstract:
TWO ALTERNATIVES FOR THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE ELEMENTS AND THEIR PERIODIC RELATIONS.

Finger puppets were designed and elaborated in order that every element located in its respective family can tell its own story about when it was discovered, country in which it was discovered, and the origin of its name and / or symbol.

Considering that the production of finger puppets was handcrafted and, therefore, unviable economically, new alternatives were looked for which would allow students of different educational levels to approach the same knowledge but in a less onerous way. This way, some gloves were chosen to which the same pupils dress, place eyes and other accessories; then they are able to tell their stories, locate them in their families and know their properties and most relevant characteristics.

With this end, nowadays we offer workshops to pupils of primary and secondary education levels (including High School), in which the production of the finger puppets by the participants with the use of gloves of different colors gluing eyes, mouth and nose to each finger and then the students identify them by their principal characteristics or properties.
