Abstract:
The development of multimedia material in the field of scientific education nowadays proposes new supporting tools for the teaching - learning methologies. The creation of web pages, animations and interactive exercises allowed the pupils a new alternative of study in topics of chemistry. Initial aspects such as the universal language of chemistry, the periodic table and its multiple combinations, represent a problematic issue for students in the basic levels of education.

Nevertheless, by means of interactive games, this learning, as well as self-evaluation, is propitiated allowing the student’s progressive advancement through this new proposal.
Our program includes chemical elements and their symbols (including the history of each element's name, its country of origin, and its historical context) as a common alphabet to communicate in a universal chemical language, besides including a systematic methology used to name each of the different chemical compounds.
