Abstract:
The article investigates how artificial intelligence (AI) affects higher education institutions, stressing the technology's benefits, undesirable, and ethical dilemmas. The main premise is that AI increases teacher efficacy and helps university students develop higher-order cognitive abilities and became more independent in their learning journey. It implies that AI promotes individualized education, accommodates a range of demands, and incorporates interactive techniques to inspire learners.
The study answers two important questions:
1. What effects does AI have on students' study habits and academic achievement?
2. What are the benefits, drawbacks, and obstacles associated with integrating AI into education?
Students at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences in Oujda, Morocco, were surveyed using a mixed-methods approach that included a questionnaire with both closed-ended and open-ended questions to collect both qualitative and quantitative data on the subject at hand. Among our many intriguing findings, we may mention that the majority of students believe AI can enhance learning, save time, and allow for more individualized instruction. Nonetheless, issues with excessive dependence and inadequate instruction were observed. According to the findings, to maximize advantages and handle difficulties, educational institutions should provide training and set rules for using AI tools. Lastly, we discuss the study's limitations and recommendations for future research. Keywords:
