Abstract:
Foreign language training of students of non-language universities of Kazakhstan is a special, humanitarian component of their professional education. Forming foreign language competence fulfilled in cooperation of a student and teacher is a technology for forming personal potential without the realization of which there can not be a full-fledged specialist.

Qualitative changes occurring in today's world affect the formation of personal human potential. Special knowledge alone can not provide the creative activity of individuals and their integration into society, because socialization requires information of more general nature.

For their successful professional development young people must have not only a special set of knowledge, but be dynamic, proactive and comprehensively developed personalities.
Foreign language is a necessary component of professional training of any specialist, as it facilitates more efficient development of their professional competence. And the formation of foreign language competence goes beyond the academic process, it includes classroom work, work under the guidance of teachers and student independent study. Research activities of students and their social activism have a special place in the process. Of great importance in shaping would-be specialists is their striving for participating in various competitions and contests at any level and getting educational grants.

The educational process should be based on taking into account such qualities of students as independence in decision making, project activities bent, problem-solving abilities, as well as self development, self-control and teamwork.

In line with the credit system of education there is widely used the individual training plan of the student. Individualization of the academic process depends on the goals and objectives of specific educational process and is related to personal and professional needs of the student.

The widespread use of modern means of communication allows us to create and develop information technology competence. On-line communication allows teachers and students to have regular contacts and according to the norms of the Bologna Declaration 70% of all academic work should be carried out by students.

An important question concerning the correlation of the professional component and general social communicative competence remains to be answered.

In any specialized language there can be identified nationwide, professionally-oriented (speech patterns and clichés, used in specific areas of activity), and specialized, terminological lexicons. The communicative-humanitarian environment is created thanks to going out of students’ professional framework in the process of foreign language education. Among these ways out of pure academic activities there are various associations of students on account of some common interest, debate clubs, literary societies, amateur theatres, etc.

It is this approach that combines specialized and humanitarian competences can contribute to training highly qualified specialists who meet the requirements of the day and labor market of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
