Abstract:
The transition of communicative practices into mobile messengers is one of the modern trends in the whole world. As a result, we can see the reflection of this process in education. However, at the moment, the practice of mobile messengers being used in the educational process in Russia has not been studied enough. The article reviews the existing research on this problem and identifies the main topic of research. The main part of the article presents empirical material that reflects the background and results of self-organization of parents in messengers, including WhatsApp and Viber. The empirical base is a questionnaire which was conducted in 2019 and covered 7281 respondents. The article says that parents need information about the internal life of school. In addition, parents have a need not only to receive, but also to discuss information related to school. Mobile messengers help to satisfy this need in the first place. It is concluded that such interaction can be a way to solve possible problems, since the overall goal of interaction (creation of a comfortable and effective educational environment) is seen, and the interaction itself is based on mutual understanding and information openness. The obtained data can serve as a basis for the development of informational interaction between the teacher and parents and improve the educational process. The possibilities of using the results of the study in management practice are shown, aimed at improving the existing communicative practices of parents.
