Abstract:

The introduction of educational platforms solves the problems of students' interest in the learning process, since the modern era is the era of the information society. And the interest in learning generates the effectiveness of learning. In the context of distance learning for schoolchildren and students, the use of online educational platforms as additional learning tools is an effective method for developing and improving all types of skills.

The authors present the characteristics of popular educational platforms, an approximate algorithm for working with the materials presented on them. It is emphasized that in distance learning a significant role is given to modern Internet technologies, including the use of educational platforms. The combination of traditional learning tools (lecture, story, explanation, conversation, discussion, work with a book, etc.) and modern ones, in particular, the use of educational platform materials, in the process of video communication with students, is the basis for the effectiveness of distance learning.

The article provides an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of distance learning using educational platforms, and suggests options for optimizing the learning process in a distance format.

The purpose of the article is to consider an educational platform as a means of distance learning for schoolchildren and university students, to reveal the features of using online platforms in the educational process.

The main methods and techniques of the study described in the article were the analysis of scientific literature and information resources devoted to the problems of distance education, the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of using online tools in teaching schoolchildren and students, as well as empirical methods, including observation, survey, testing, mathematical methods of processing data.

During the research and writing of the article, the following tasks were solved:
1. The strengths and weaknesses of the use of educational platforms in the process of distance learning are determined.
2. A number of methodological recommendations have been developed on the use of online educational platforms aimed at increasing the effectiveness of distance learning.

The use of modern online platforms in the system of teaching school and university students allows for the development of a full set of competencies: social, educational and professional competencies. The effectiveness of distance learning is facilitated by taking into account the tasks of the student in connection with the different levels of training and abilities. Distance learning is associated with interactive learning technologies, such an organization of the learning process in which the student interacts with the teacher and other participants in the learning process. Such interactive activity is possible, for example, on the widely used Russian online platform Uchi.ru. The following educational online platforms have been considered effective: Lectorium (a media library of lectures by teachers of Russian universities is presented), GetAClass (videos on physics for schoolchildren and students are presented), YaKlass (a platform that contains a large number of interactive tasks in various subjects for different ages) and a lot others.

A well-thought-out ratio of traditional and distance learning gives rise to effective blended learning, which is one of the trends in modern education.
