Abstract:
The introduction of new technologies, wireless Internet access and the lowest cost electronics, among other reasons, have enabled widespread access to social networks from mobile terminals and tablets. This boom has brought new social realities and the appearance of associations with various claims (labor, political and so on) and not just strictly entertainment as we might initially suspect. This revolution in social behavior due to technology has to have its parallel in education. While in recent years has incorporated the use of computers in classrooms, the next step will be to use mobile terminals in the development of the classes. Today, most students have intelligent terminals with Internet access capability, which enables the incorporation of new mechanisms to consolidate the knowledge acquired in class. And, additionally, the teacher can know what new concepts have to consolidate almost immediately. This paper presents a teaching innovation project aims to increase students' active participation in lectures using their mobile devices. The only need is that the mobile device has a Wi-Fi wireless connection and a browser. The project is carried out in the University of Jaen, particularly in the degree of Telematics Engineering. Keywords:
