Abstract:
Current educational environment discussions focus on research that can be conducted remotely and keep all participants active during this process. Its reflection in architectural education varies according to the course flow. In this flow dynamics, the main questions such as which class the students are in, the effectiveness of the manager and the student to use digital media, whether the course is practical or theoretical, what are the course acquisitions and in which direction they can gain flexibility are raised. In this context, an evaluation was made over the participation and interpretation of the students during a lesson period using mixed methods and according to the tools used. It is thought that it is important to carry out such experiments, document and share the experience during the pandemic period. The work done is an experience sharing in this context. Within the scope of MSKU Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture 2019-2020 Academic Year Spring Semester “Computational Design” course, students' feedbacks were taken in the “visual communication experiments” module and various inferences were made accordingly. A comparative interpretation and discussion of the work done to keep students active in the course and their reflection are aimed.
