Abstract:
Common agricultural policy of European Union (EU) provides support for farmers and encouragement of rural development and holds the biggest share of EU budget. There is a need of administrative capacity for planning, implementation and control of financial flow at national and regional level in all member states. Local action groups (LAGs) play main role in the process of local development by preparation and implementation of community-led local development strategies, boosting capacity of local actors, preparation of calls, evaluation of submitted proposals, monitoring of strategy implementation and many more. The paper presents analysis of the practice for establishment and work of local action groups (LAGs) in Bulgaria by evaluation of case studies based on interviews with LAGs members. Based on this we defined recommendations for improvement of education of University of Ruse and Academy of economics in Svishtov, Bulgaria for specialists graduating specialties in field of agriculture after curricula analysis.
