Abstract:
Nowadays, teachers are motivated to find more effective strategies to help all their students and to develop learning process. Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) is one of those approaches that has its place as a complement to a numbers of methods in learning a language. In spite of not being a language learning methodology, NLP has some advantages for teachers such as improving communication, setting goals, turning challenges into opportunities and monitoring students’ feedback. The aim of this study is to illuminate the relationship between NLP and EFL teachers’ motivation. To fulfill this purpose, 40 female and male teachers were selected from a private language institute in Mashhad, Iran. Two types of questionnaires, which comprise frequently-used features of NLP, correlational analysis and t-tests were used in order to analyze the data. Findings of this study illustrated the fact that there exists a significant relationship between NLP and EFL teachers’ motivation that influence the learning process of EFL students for better.
