Abstract:
The paper discusses the issues of the effectiveness of the educational process during the pandemic, the digitalization of education, and the self-effectiveness of the teacher's work. The COVID-19 pandemic was the starting point for the study of these issues.
We paid attention to the effectiveness and efficiency of the educational process during the lockdown. Thus, it was made an attempt to find out if there is any correspondence of higher self-efficacy of teachers with the educational technology standards and how this affects the lifelong learning competencies of conservative teachers. As using distance education methods can cause various problems that are not so important in the traditional system, this problem comes to the main stage. So we have previously considered the problems of online learning.
The survey conducted by the authors comprises 76 participants from different educational establishments. The paper analyzes the factors that adversely affected the educational process in difficult times for the whole world and the reluctance of teachers to work remotely.
The main factor of the study is the fact that the self-effectiveness of distance learning at the time of the beginning of the universal transition to online learning was low. An important reason for this is the low involvement and desire of teachers to teach online and to develop in this direction.
The necessity to expand the capabilities of teachers in online learning and the achievements in the information and communication technologies cannot be overemphasized. To sum up, it should be noted that the pedagogy of online learning should be included in regular obligatory professional development programs for teachers.
