Introduction:
Telehealth is a term that covers the usage of information technology and communication to transfer information about data and clinic, administrative and educational services (SANTOS, 2006), which can be utilized by all professionals that develop activity in the area of health. In Brazil, telehealth has a reasonable telecommunication infrastructure, with satellite coverage in all national territory, with new information technologies which make possible to visualize new ways to provide health assistance.

Objective:
The present study aims to explain how the permanent process of tele education in intensive and high complexity nursing in Amazon works, performed by live video conferences.

Methodology:
It is the experience report of the University Network of Telemedicine (RUTE) activities with the Special Interest Group (SIG) in Intensive and High Complexity Therapy, of the University of the State of Amazon.

Results:
The video conferences occur monthly and involve professors, learners and assistant nurses, with information exchange, permanent education, training and discussion of the intensive and high complexity nursing practice in all primary, secondary and tertiary levels in health. The meetings are performed by teleconference (video and web) on the last Wednesdays of each month and involve institutions all over Brazil and countries such as Portugal and Mozambique. These conferences have promoted education and permanent capacitation in intensive and high complexity nursing; opinion and experience sharing in this area all over Brazilian territory; and integration of high complexity assistance with primary attention to education based on the improvement of the quality in assistance. The SIG/RUTE includes the participation of the best nursing specialists in the area, from institutions that are reference in health in Brazil, providing knowledge exchange between the academy and the services, in a proposal that integrates professional capacitation and practice.

Conclusion:
This process not only focuses on the improvement of the assistance to users through the qualification of the nursing professionals, but also contributes to the Health Network organization providing safety for workers to perform in different situations of care.
