Abstract:
The paper reflects the interdisciplinary approach to university education on the example of the study of business German and journalism. It focuses on consolidating the crucial media and language competence needed to create podcast, one of the most popular, and increasingly used multimedia format in current journalistic practice. The authors notice podcast as a genre based on the essential communication model. This scheme of coding and decoding they modify according to the specific elements the podcast uses. In communication transfer of information from the sender to the recipient, the study focuses on improving the podcaster's language expression and working with the voice. It also offers practical instructions and exercises, such as communication and rhetorical skills, that need improvement. In this context, for example, language warm-ups or vocabulary expansion are essential. The podcast contains a wide range of journalistic genres that offer variable support for developing the above-mentioned key competencies. Depending on whether it is an audio or video podcast, students can practice, for example, creating a journalistic interview or recording a television discussion. Therefore, the authors of the article focus on the possibilities of implementing podcasts into the teaching process with a focus on supporting students' media and language competence. The paper also presents the results of an interdisciplinary, professionally oriented educational project, which the authors implemented in cooperation with the Karpatenblatt magazine. Keywords:
