Abstract:
Research academic projects are conducted for several reasons:
1. Developing passion and interests
2. The desire to deepen a given issue
3. Supplementing knowledge acquired during education
As a result of scientific research conducted with the participation of students, created projects have a great teaching potential.

The article presents a proposal for a glove project used to acquire the movement of the human hand. The prototype consists of a glove equipped with flex sensors, a force sensor, an accelerometer, a control unit and a power supply system. The main aim of the glove is to collect information about movements of single finger, a group of fingers or the whole hand. The received data is classified into the appropriate group of gestures. Bending of the fingers is detected by the deflection sensors - it is possible to monitor the deflection angle. The glove has been equipped with a force sensor designed to implement the detection of specific gestures. The change of the hand position is monitored by the accelerometer.

Classified data is collected and transmitted using Particle Photon in two considered scenarios:
1. Transfer of data to a PC
2. Transfer of data to another system, e.g. Particle Photon or NodeMCU.

Data acquisition is carried out using ADC transducers. Wi-Fi standard was used for data transmission.

The paper presents considerations on the use of the prototype to acquisite of human hand movement, to monitor progress in rehabilitation and as a human-computer interface tool for device control.
