Abstract:
The paper discusses the advantages as well as obstacles of using podcasting and videocasting in Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL) courses. Background information regarding podcasting and videocasting is discussed.

Crucial to the success of podcasting in TEL courses is scenario that properly mixes teacher-student meetings with distance learning based on the podcast (or videocast) content delivery. It's very important to accurately determine ratio of podcasting to other learning activities (lectures, group work, seminars, etc). Teachers who want to use podcasts for TEL courses have to remember that podcasting and videocasting cannot be use to support all kinds lectures and all topics. Paper discusses what topics and type of lectures could be covered.

Paper presents podcasting and videocasting as a easy to implement methods of involving students in the learning process. Also techniques which helps to make TEL courses more accessible and attractive (thanks to podcasting and videocasting) are discussed in the paper.
