Abstract:
Programs to enhance entrepreneurship education are evolving. Various educational programs have been presented as Master and Bachelor student programs. In addition Universities strengthen their students skills launching business plan challenges with attractive prices or organise “Getting togethers” of technical students and students of business administration. These programs target and attract students that are aware that these programs are adding professional skills and personal competencies that will be beneficial to their carrier.

In our paper we are presenting a method to introduce entrepreneurial ideas to students of non-technical faculties. Our objective was to develop a didactical framework to interest theses students and to help them developing a basic skillset and an understanding of entrepreneurial competencies required when a start up is founded. We are focusing on the development of entrepreneurial thinking rather than on the understanding on how multinational technology companies can be founded and financed.

Research Question:
We questioned if entrepreneurial show formats can be beneficial in the area of entrepreneurial education and how the material can be used to enhance traditional classroom courses.

Methodology:
We have realised a course using popular “entrepreneur show” formats (namely “Höhle des Löwen”, “Dragon’s Den”, “Shark Tank”). We have developed a didactical concept around these TV formats. We have compared results of this educational approach with former methodologies. In our paper we are presenting the concept and the didactical ideas behind the concept

Results:
We evaluate on our experiences over the last three years, discuss results and present challenges concerning competency measurement in our specific area.
