Abstract:
This paper presents the results of an evaluation of an Educational Software (ES), specifically the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) Moodle, performed by a Monitoring and Evaluation System (MES) for courses in the Distance Learning (DL) category. The purpose of MES is to monitor and support the quality of distance teaching and learning process. The VLE is an educational tool that provides relevant data on the academic life of the student. These data, combined with evaluations and monitoring that MES promotes, establishes databases and promising information for educational, pedagogical and organizational management of distance education courses. This paper presents a mapping involving the evaluation of ES of VLE used in courses from the Brazilian e-Tec Network. The presented results are focused on the evaluation of the VLE. The relevance of this evaluation attempts to rescue solutions that can address not only technical but also usability and pedagogical issues in the VLE.
