Abstract:
The Internet has acquired a place in education, as it has in most other areas of the world, and has facilitated learning with others. Various kinds of web-based technologies were proposed to support e-learning. However, we should recognize the human mental needs of using the Internet in advance when applying web-based learning to learners. It would advantage learning to design a web-based environment fitting learners’ needs. Therefore, we surveyed users’ mental needs of using the Internet over different countries on Network and used data mining technology for data analysis. We found that Web 2.0 as a platform is not yet fit for users’ needs to surf the Internet. It is predictable that Network will have another revolution in the near future, and e-learning concepts will progress from Web-based to VR-based giving a top priority over avatars. In this paper, we followed the survey discoveries and found out the problems of designing the VR-based system on web browsers. Further, to accomplish the VR-based system, and proposes the improvements of techniques from four aspects; the virtual scene constructions, learning history record, file compression technology, and security. Developers will be capable of using this particular system as a reference for implementing a VR-based platform in e-learning in the future.
