Abstract:
The video feedback is now widely used by athletes to improve their skill or strategies. The tablet computer is suitable for video recording and presentation for PE class because its mobility and operability. If these recorded video clips could be accessed even at after the class, students might utilize them for their skill development and other educational activities such as writing a paper.
We developed a video sharing system so that students could store video clips which recorded during class using tablet computers, and they could view them after the class using their own devices including smartphones. The system was implemented in cloud. The system automatically resizes and converts the uploaded video for smartphones.
We introduced this system into our tennis class on a trial basis. Tablet computers were provided for each tennis court, and students recorded video of each other practicing. The video clips were uploaded to the system by students at the end of the class. It was confirmed that students can viewed their own video clips using their own smartphones or PCs. It was also confirmed that procedures which need to be done in the class must make more short and clear so that it might not to interrupt the classwork. Keywords:
