Abstract:
Currently, the trend in companies is digitization and automation of work procedures and processes. The challenge for university teaching is to provide students with opportunities and teaching practices that will prepare them for the changes resulting from the digital transformation. The main aim of the article is to characterize the implementation of an innovative teaching process consisting of educational training sets that include a professional set of a robotic arm, a gripper, a pneumatic set and a conveyor belt set. The innovative teaching process will enable students to develop their skills necessary for sustainable management of organizations, focus on the interaction of people and technology and identify prerequisites for successful adaptation of employees to new technologies. During the actual work with educational training sets, students are able to use knowledge from various subjects they have completed during their studies (for example, the basics of economics and management, human resource management, personnel management, production management, employee performance management). The methodology will consist of a comprehensive processing, summary and evaluation of the content of the subjects and acquired skills and knowledge of the students and a description of their subsequent use in the innovative teaching process. The intention is not only to improve the quality of the teaching process, but also make studying attractive for current and potential students. Currently, there is little interest in studying at universities with a focus on technology, but there is demonstrably high interest in graduates. The results and conclusions elaborated in the article can serve as an inspiration for other educational institutions, which also face a lower interest in studying within the technical field. Industrial engineer graduates are in high demand on the labour market, and that is why we consider the incorporation of such an innovation into the teaching process to be crucial. The very importance also comes from the point of view of their subsequent easier adaptation in the working environment, as they will have knowledge and skills with the use of new technologies, which result from their experiences during their studies.
