Abstract:
In this article we focus on creating a mobile mathematical application "Roman numerals" for the practice of conversion of Roman numerals to Arabic numbers. The application is free and could be used by students, teachers and parents. Another aim of this application was to show the teachers and students how they can create a mobile application without programming knowledge. This application was created in an online environment App Inventor. App Inventor is a visual, blocks language for building Android Apps. The creation of an application is easy and fun and the user doesn't need to know any programming language. App Inventor is being used in classrooms all over the world to teach programming skills in computer science. We will show you the results from our research if using mobile application in the teaching process will increase interest in mathematics. We won't replace traditional teaching of mathematics, we just want to try new tools that could increase the interest of the students.
