Abstract:
Relevance of the research:
The authors of this article consider the training of language for special purposes (further - LSP) to be of great importance and innovative in modern linguistics, in professional communication in condition of globalization. It requires careful and deep study of its functioning, as well as theory and practice of LSP in various professional fields. The authors have reviewed scientific works devoted to the analysis of the main directions of linguistic science for the period of XVII-XX centuries to the modern time. The study revealed that the priority scientific branch of modern linguistics is the theory and practice of LSP, the study of which requires a careful approach.

The purpose of this work is to study issues related to the main tasks of linguistics in the period of the XVII-XX centuries including the beginning of the XXI century, to study the peculiarities of the LSP and to determine the role of professional communication for modern society in the era of globalization.
Within this research we set the following tasks:

To achieve this goal it is necessary to solve the following tasks:
• To study the main tasks of linguistics in the period of the XVII-XXI centuries
• To consider the importance of LSP functioning in modern society in the era of globalization.
• To examine the features of the LSP as a system
• To study and describe the peculiarities of the phonetic, morphological, lexical, syntactic levels of the LSP (on the material of Legal English and LSP in the field of road transport).

Object of the study:
Priority directions of linguistics in the period of the XVII-XX centuries and in the beginning of the XXI century
Subject of research: the study of features of the LSP as the most important direction of modern linguistics
The scientific novelty of a research The innovative approach to the process of studying the language for special purposes (LSP) as a system, taking into account the peculiarities of linguistic (phonetic, morphological, syntactic, semantic) features has been considered in this article.

The structure of the article consists of introduction, main part, results and conclusion.
In the conclusion the main scientific findings are stated, the problems of further development are pointed.
