Abstract:
This paper presents the results of a comparative analysis of social values and motivation of modern youth before and during the self-isolation regime. Problems in this area can be difficulties in the perception and understanding of the values of the younger generation, as well as old stereotypical opinions that spoil the child-parent relationship. Difficulties that arise in relationships during the educational process. The purpose of this study is to find out how the self-isolation regime affects the level of social values of adolescents. The study involved 60 schoolchildren studying in the 10th grade. The first group included 30 people who were trained before the pandemic in 2019. The second group includes 30 people who are studying remotely during the pandemic in 2020. To diagnose value orientations, a questionnaire was used – the "Schwartz Values Test" and the method of E. B. Fantalova "The level of the ratio of value and accessibility in various spheres of life". Methods of descriptive statistics, comparative analysis, and correlation analysis (Student's t-test, Mann-Whitney's U-test) were used for statistical analysis. It turned out that there are statistical links according to the following criteria of social values: in 2019, schoolchildren have a positive relationship between conformity and internal conflict. While the results of the study in 2020 show the relationship between indicators such as universalism and internal conflict.
