Abstract:

Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (TUCN) encourages students and staff members towards international mobilities. These mobilities are also encouraged by the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning (FAUP), underlining the importance of sharing, gaining experience, training and participating in the educational process with other partner universities.
The international mobilities in education are new challenges in international cooperation that TUCN and FAUP meets with international programs for exchanged experiences, joint education and alliances and networks between universities across Europe.
We are looking at the motivations and outcomes of the mobilities of the faculty staff members and analysing the framework of the mobilities, programs, configurations, partnerships and flexibility of the programs regarding the timespan and place. Another important aspect of the study is the relationship between the didactic and research activity of the teaching staff.
The research question proposed is how mobility experience is impacting the perspective on the development path and opportunities as well the perception on the educational and cultural realm. Moreover, how the destinations are chosen and what links are stronger in the educational mobility networks is a topic of the present reseach. To answer the questions international programs available for staff mobility and staff mobility case studies as shared experiences are analysed.
