Abstract:
The target of this poster deals with the topic of education of the children who are asylum seekers living in the refugee camps ran by the Ministry of interior of Czech Republic. We would like to introduce to the professional community a specific target group in the current system of the immigration policy and education in the Czech Republic. We try to look at this problematic through the eyes of the teachers who work with these pupils every day in the primary schools. The study qualitatively analyzes the semi-structured interviews. Firstly we observe in detail the educational strategies, methods and forms that are used by teachers in the classroom, as well as we pay attention to the educational barriers and problems of the refugee pupils and finally we describe the specific educational needs of this target group. The target of our investigation was to introduce the education strategies of the teachers and to look closer onto the issue that still stands in our country as well as in the world on the edge of interest. The poster also includes some recommendations for working with this target group within the classroom. Keywords:
