Abstract:
The article follows the possibilities of solving pupils’ lack of motivation, with a new perspective on the world of pupils in contemporary education still using methods of education from past years. We compare pupils' motivation to curriculum through functional literacy. Pupils respond to traditional methods in the first year, but the results do not improve in higher grades. By then pupils are looking for education specifically directed towards the foundation for technicians. The programme is becoming a new centre of interest for the pupils. Most of the students are boys, and their attention is very focused, with good results. The proportion of girls is still low, but almost all girls have excellent results. The project supports these disciplines, and pupils come from different schools with different assumptions and knowledge. Because the programme uses techniques found in recreational activities, students are more engaged in participating and in achieving learning outcomes. There is often no decisive support from the family, even students without traditions are successful. However, there is a very noticeable difference in the performance of pupils when the family cooperates and directs pupils towards technology. Most of these pupils have excellent results and win various competitions, both between schools and at a national level.
