Abstract:
The European Higher Education Area (EHEA) is an educational convergence project adopted by the European educational university systems which has recently generated new pedagogical approaches and teaching-learning process. This situation has produced a great opportunity to elaborate new educational content developments, evalua tion processes and teaching methods
which, in turn, have enhanced the role of ICT along the higher education scope.

This article presents the clickers tool, a new pedagogical device based on an advanced electronic voting system which aims to encourage interaction, debate and dynamism in the audience. Between its key advantages regarding other educational existing resources, we may highlight its simplicity, variety of use and ease of implementation in PowerPoint presentations. In fact, this last feature has critical importance since this methodological tool is the most widespread among university teaching staff when conducting their lectures. However, apart from class presentations, this tool has also been used in several programs promoted by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia during the course 2014/15. Through this study we aim to show the distinct effects that the clickers tool may have in terms of participation, interest, ongoing assessment and interaction among these activities.
