Abstract:
In recent years, a pedagogical model with a new approach has been introduced in Higher Education. This model, based on the constructivist theories, places the focus on the student, being the teacher who assists and guides this process. The advances in the field of Information and Communications Technology provide tools that support the academic needs in different teaching and learning models.

The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) has an e-learning platform (PoliformaT, powered by Sakai) that provides the necessary tools for instructors and students to succeed in their online initiatives. This tool is used to organize the contents of the subject and the activities related to them, and it has been proved as a great importance in order to get the best results in the teaching-learning process.

A new teaching-learning methodology, developed in physics courses of different engineering degrees at the UPV, is presented in this work.

This complex methodology includes the implementation of:
1. Resources (documents and videos) that students can use in the flip teaching based learning.
2. Online exams to facilitate both the continuous assessment and the self-assessment. It also provides instructional feedback.
3. Development of soft skills, particularly: teamwork, effective oral and written communication, problem solving strategies and peer assessment.

In previous works, the impact of some particular aspects of this methodology has been evaluated. Its usefulness and results have been analysed separately, obtaining significant improvement when compared with previous methodologies, and also a positive acceptance by the students. In this work, we present the results of the opinion of the teachers and the students about the methodology as a whole. This analysis allows us to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the teaching-learning process showing the direction towards teaching improvement
