Abstract:
The apparent cultural diversity in the university classroom is not always accompanied by a real interaction, by what intercultural relations among the students may be limited. In this context, the present work aims to, among other objectives, analyze and promote the interaction between people of different cultures in contexts of formal instruction through reflection and awareness. To do this, design an action plan for the students of Social Sciences of EMU which included different activities and dynamic. The students who participated in the same inquired about the possible causes of cultural clashes, the lack of interaction among people of diverse origins, devised strategies to facilitate the communication and have been able to integrate what lived in the simulations in the classroom to the analysis of real-life situations. The techniques used offered spaces for reflection, the search for solutions and the proposal of measures to promote interculturalism. Thanks to the interest and involvement of all participants, we were able to approach the reality of our students and learn first hand about the reasons for their little interaction. Keywords:
