Abstract:
The use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in education lends itself to more student-centred learning settings. But with the world moving rapidly into digital media and information, the role of ICT in education is becoming more and more important. The last finality of ICT is the achievement of improved quality of education. Their usefulness has been demonstrated both in high schools and in the university. In this line, Moodle is presented as a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) which makes it easy for teachers to provide online support for their courses. This tool can yield interesting alternatives to promote a more significant learning and contribute to the development of flexible and customized models of an evaluation which is intended to be more efficient. We consider that the opinion of the students at this regard is important in order to improve the performance of the employed platform.

An ad-hoc survey has been elaborated to know their opinion and a total number of 80 and 90 secondary and high school students, respectively, have fulfill it, based on their experience with the platform “moodle”. This survey contained questions of numeric answer scoring their opinion, as well as open questions. Exhaustive statistical analysis of the numerical results has been performed by means of significance tests. On the other hand, qualitative results, from the opened questions have been analyzed by means of the software “NVivo”.
