Abstract:
Change is the constant aspect in the teaching profession. The teacher training (secondary education) is a unique training with a lot of expertise in the field of didactics and methodology. With this project the department intends to expand and spread the existing knowhow concerning educational innovation and technology in function of attractive and effective learning.
The teacher training department Bachelor Secondary Education starts with an innovative and challenging research project focused on the development of a future proof didactic model that allows the shaping of a far-reaching differentiated education with the support of educational technology. Within the framework of this project a ‘Future proof education lab’ will be created as living lab: an inspirational and innovative learning environment which can be installed and used in a flexible manner, supports innovation and contains relevant technological tools.
The lab offers the opportunity:
(1) to explore different possibilities (for students and lecturers, professionals, the work field, …)
(2) to convert the effectivity and impact of the developed interventions to evidenced-informed guidelines for the educational practice
(3) to integrate the (future proof) didactic model and educational technology in the training
(4) to develop trajectories for professionalization for the work field (and alumni).Keywords:
