Abstract:
Older adults' education is challenging. Especially the participation of older adults in training programs is difficult, due to people's interests and learning preferences in later life, past (negative) experiences, decreasing learning abilities and cognitive impairments, lack of ICTs skills, and minimum motivation of older adults to participate in training.

The work is developed under an Erasmus+ project, Team2Share, and is dedicated to the development of a modern method adapted for a better acquisition of information by older adults who went out of the educational process. Furthermore, two mobile application solutions are designed to increase the accessibility and attractiveness of learning. Finally, dedicated content is prepared as well as materials for monitoring progress and evaluating learning outcomes, all accessible in electronic form, friendly, and easy to use.

In this article, we present the results of our investigation of new materials for monitoring progress and evaluating learning outcomes adapted to the needs of older adults and designed to keep them engaged, motivated, and willing to learn, for as long as possible. We try to bring together neuroscience research activities in the field of older adult learning and to deepen the understanding of the progress monitoring and assessment of learning outcomes suitable for their needs and preferences. The practical application of the results has not only a didactic dimension but also highlights the benefits of lifelong learning for older adults, cognitive functioning, and aging well.
