Abstract:

Life and health protection courses realised in Slovak republic are aimed at educating students in the field of protecting human life and health in the present time with new threats in Europe. The courses increasing the physical fitness and mental resistance of pupils and later of students. They were the part of civil protection education, after 2008 established in law. Similar education is not common in the abroad countries. The course helps to manage inappropriate conditions in situations caused by foreign power, terrorism and other threats. The course is divided to the separate thematic units with content aimed at solving problems after the occurrence of extraordinary events, civil protection, medical training, stay and movement in nature, sports, etc. Health and life protection courses are implemented in various forms at secondary schools. Although there is recommended content, there is no description of the technical equipment for the implementation of such courses. The article contains a description of technical equipment for courses realization in the form of standard and modern technologies. Describes also web created for education of students at secondary schools in the field of health and life protection. The creation of such a course is innovative, but it has some deficiencies, described in the article.The course is practicaly and experience-oriented.
