Abstract:
In connection with the more and more resonating safety threats worldwide, the education in the area of safety becomes an important topic. A lot of situations can be simulated and modern technologies for training can be also utilised. This article describes the possibilities of utilising the virtual and augmented reality for the training of the safety units. These technologies are bringing a new and until now unknown dimension that saves the costs, increases the effectiveness of the educational process and makes it very interesting. This article also contains results for the implementation and possibilities that will be utilised for solving the FighARs project aimed at implementing the virtual and augmented reality to the educational process of the emergency units. It is solved at the University of Žilina and will identify the advantages and disadvantages of the individual tools of the virtual and augmented reality and their particular utilisation for preventing the development of the crisis phenomena.
