Abstract:
In a society that increasingly demands professionals with very good technical knowledge and practice training, in order to achieve their goals in professional life, the Acoustic Laboratory Applied to Civil Engineering LA2IC (UCLM) within the course Evaluation and Control of Environmental Noise in Transport Infrastructure (Master Degree in Territory, Infrastructure and Environment), lets students to participate in its research in the field of environmental noise due to traffic road noise. The main objective is to understand the different causes that influence this type of noise and to mitigate it. Students can use the several equipments of the LA2IC for testing and characterization of pavements. The Tiresonic Mk4 LA2IC allows them to record the close proximity noise (CPX) of the road studied. On the other hand, the impedance tube and the impedance head determine respectively the absorption coefficient and the dynamic stiffness of the samples. Software for noise mapping is also used for road noise study. The combination of different techniques allows them a deeper knowledge of the mechanism involved in the rolling noise generation, and shows them the action lines in order to reduce environmental noise and create more peaceful cities. Keywords:
