Abstract:
The paper presents a comparative analysis of the role of interactive content in higher education and highlights its importance for improving learning outcomes in different teaching formats, including face-to-face, blended and hybrid studies. Interactive learning tools for Generation Z or Alpha learners are an integral part of their learning process and are becoming increasingly important. As interactive content and universal design are key components of successful learning activities, this paper focuses on the common lecture formats used by educators and evaluates their effectiveness in different pedagogical contexts.

This paper analyzes the common lecture formats used by educators and evaluates their effectiveness in different pedagogical contexts, but specifically focuses on lecturers from Vilnius Technology and Design College (VTDK) who participate in the "Digital Transformation of Education (EdTech)" project.

The paper delves into the challenges faced by educators in adopting digital technologies and non-interactive teaching methods, aiming to understand teachers' experiences and students' preferences. It also evaluates the hardware and software infrastructure available in educational institutions to support digital learning and communication tools. The relevance of this paper lies in its timely exploration of innovative teaching methodologies and digital transformations in higher education.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the literature review was carried out, lecturers from different disciplines were interviewed to find out which methods they used to present interactive content. The paper summarizes the results of the study assessing how properly lecturers are able to use and have mastered the technology to create interactive content. The study aims to find out how much and what kind of support was needed for educators to adopt the innovations. The paper also presents the results of a study with students, in which the students studied selected course topics digitized by the educators, carried out the digitization tasks and then submitted their reflections. This method facilitates the evaluation of the course content and identifies possible areas for improvement.

In conclusion, this study aims to provide valuable insights and practical recommendations for educators and students alike, facilitating the design and implementation of inclusive, effective, and innovative teaching and learning experiences in higher education.
