Abstract:
Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) technologies have revolutionized the landscape of learning, offering immersive and interactive environments for educational purposes. This literature review examines the role of haptic feedback in enhancing the learning experience within VR/AR settings. As the demand for effective and engaging educational tools grows, understanding the implications of haptic feedback on cognition, skill acquisition, and knowledge retention becomes paramount.

The review synthesizes findings from a diverse range of studies encompassing fields such as education, psychology, and human-computer interaction. Key themes explored include the influence of haptic feedback on spatial awareness, motor skills development, and the overall sense of presence within virtual learning environments. Additionally, the paper investigates the potential of haptic feedback to address challenges related to simulation fidelity and realism, contributing to a more authentic learning experience.

By analyzing existing research, the paper aims to identify gaps in current knowledge and propose avenues for future exploration. The synthesis of findings not only sheds light on the effectiveness of haptic feedback in educational contexts but also provides insights for educators, researchers, and developers seeking to optimize the integration of haptic technology into virtual and augmented learning experiences. Ultimately, this paper contributes to the ongoing discourse on the intersection of haptic feedback and immersive technologies in education, offering a comprehensive overview of current research trends and paving the way for future developments in the field.
