Abstract:
We have put in practice the e-portfolio as method of continuous assessment in different courses taught in the University Rey Juan Carlos: from law and economic degrees to science degrees. Crucial to our success in this project has been the evaluation of the system and methodology employed. In order to discover this we have designed several questionnaires directed towards the student in order to collect their opinions concerning the use of E-portfolios in the continuous evaluation. The questionnaires have been presented at the beginning and at the end of the course and when analyzed, the results give us a global picture of student feeling towards the new teaching and evaluation models. Other indicators have also been considered none more so than the pass rate compared with previous years where traditional evaluation methods were used.
This study forms part of the Educational Innovation Project “The application of e-portfolio in learning and assessment method of University teaching”, directed by Dr. María Rosario Martín-Briceño (eighth edition of the Innovation in Education Program of the University Rey Juan Carlos). Keywords:
