Abstract:
At Universidad Ean, according to the educational model, various teaching strategies are implemented, such as learning through challenges, problem-based learning, and project-based learning In the field of higher education, the University also offers training programs completely online, and for the design of this methodology, the design of courses is carried out considering methodological strategies aligned with the pedagogical model. These strategies seek to create a favorable environment for student learning.
For more than 25 years, the pedagogical design implemented at Universidad Ean has generated a valuable contribution in the field of education, both for Colombia and for other countries. Thanks to this educational model, it has been possible to reach different corners of the country, providing an inclusive and accessible education for all, not only in Colombia but also in different parts of the world.
Traditionally, the courses include the use of interactive platforms with bibliographic contents, solved exercises, exercises proposed for the student's practice, specific activities to achieve each learning objective, and scenarios for the development of evaluation exercises. In addition, within the model, there is direct accompaniment from the tutor in synchronous sessions that are also recorded and available as course material and asynchronously through virtual learning platforms.
However, despite the fact that these pedagogical experiences of instructional design have proven to be highly valid and effective for learning, the need has been found to design new learning experiences that take even more advantage of the advantages that technology brings, where flexibility in academic time and space is favored, content is built in more formats, and interaction, personalization, and the quality of learning are increased.
This work shows how different strategies have been implemented in the virtual undergraduate courses of the Faculty of Engineering of the Ean University and the results that this has generated in order to contribute to the strengthening of the higher education ecosystem at a national level. national and internacional.
