Abstract:
The education of future teachers for vocational subjects has a component, which is teaching practice. This is carried out in vocational training secondary schools. Teachers in these secondary schools help prospective teachers to gain initial experience of teaching as a teacher. The transition to distance learning during the corona crisis also affected this area. Several levels have been opened up in relation to the implementation of distance teaching. These include distance teaching in the secondary vocational school, distance teaching of future teachers and the implementation of teaching experience in a distance learning environment. The paper reflects on a selected area of distance learning in vocational secondary schools in Eastern Slovakia. It focuses on the implementation of distance learning in two consecutive school years. We point out the changes in connection with the increasing experience of teachers in its implementation, which gives space for the implementation of pedagogical practice of students - future teachers in the conditions of distance teaching, since individual school classes or schools can carry out distance teaching at this stage of preparing future teachers for their profession. The paper, through statistical descriptive tools, provides a view of distance education in secondary vocational schools during the period of its introduction and reuse in the following year. It opens the space for discussion on the implementation of teaching practice in distance education.

The conclusions of the paper are summarized into recommendations of practices that should be applied by practicing teachers in the process of realization of pedagogical practice in distance education conditions.
