Abstract:
In our paper we describe the scientific theoretical background of the project studying the beliefs about mathematics and its education. Our research sample are future teachers of this subject. The project is named: “Attitude development research of future mathematics teachers with the aim on innovation of teacher education”. This project was already mentioned in the article presented at the ICERI 2019 conference (Vankúš, P. and Babinská, M.; Future mathematics teachers attitudes towards mathematics and its teaching. Research review.).

Mostly, we will be speaking about the theoretical background of the project, and how it is implying our research methods, and estimated outputs. Therefore, our article can be interesting for everyone dealing with the research projects in the area of mathematics related beliefs and their role in the preparation of future teachers. Presented theoretical background can be also beneficial for anyone with the interest in the beliefs domain of mathematics education.
